Why People Think Health Are A Good Idea

Why We Need to Drink Water Everyday

You can get dehydrated if water is released from your body but is not replenished. This logic is accepted by almost everyone. But many are not aware that a large amount of water is lost each day from skin evaporation or sweat, breathing, urine, and stool. When water loss occurs daily, it also has to be replenished daily. While it is true that you lose more fluid if you are living in warmer climates, or when you do strenuous exercises, when you live in high altitudes or when you don’t have a good sense of thirst like what elderly people experience, you might think that just because you have not exerted effort or you are not under the sun’s heat, that you are expelling fluid.

Our body is compose of 60% water useful for digestion, absorption, circulation, creation of saliva, transportation of nutrients, and maintenance of body temperature, which is why when the balance of body fluid begins to be compromised, our body mechanism is triggered and we start to feel thirsty.

Problem is, not many like the taste or the flavor of plain water, and the reason why beverage companies have suitably attempted to provided people an alternative choice. Because of the negative reputation that sodas have, whether regular or diet, these beverage companies are not offering a healthier alternative to it.

Now, sorting through all these new options today can be overwhelming. The problem of people now is how to figure out which among the many is a healthy drink and which is simply another soda in disguise.

Naturally or artificially sweetened water is now being produced by companies in order to accommodate to those who prefer soda. Adding vitamins and minerals to their water in what many brands are doing and other also add liquid water enhancers. IF one is not careful, this, again is prone to abuse.

If you are still not convinced to drink plain water because of its taste, drink plain sparkling water with no sodium . Remember that not all clear sparkling drinks are automatically healthy like tonic water which contain added sodium and sugar, or unsweetened water flavored with “fruit essence”. The types have zero calories. You can easily gain weight if you drink liquid with plenty of calories since these calories can easily convert to fat.

There are differences between person on the recommended amount of water to drink per day. There is no universally agreed upon amount of water that must be consumed daily, but there is a general level of consensus as to what a healthy amount is. Therefore, the phrase, “drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day.”
